Anna Kempinska

Dr. Anna Kempinska is a Assistant Professor in the division of Pediatric Emergency Department at the Hospital for Sick Children. She completed her Pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Ottawa), followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at McGill (Montreal) and Sick Kids (Toronto). She is certified by the RCPSC in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Dr Kempinska is currently a Pediatric Transport Medicine Physician for the Ornge air ambulance service, as well as co-director of the PEM Fellowship Program. Since her arrival as a staff physician at Sick Kids, she has co-created the monthly divisional Journal Club, exploring up-to-date evidence in PEM. Her clinical interests include patient transport and management of critically ill children especially with sepsis and airway issues, along with physician wellness and the health impact of shift work.
